Emma's Imagination：《Stand Still》



她的名字 —— Emma's Imagination 首先吸引了我。

我很喜欢 Emma 这个英文名，感觉很有气质。Imagination，想象力，带有点幻想放空的意思，是我每天常做喜欢做的事之一。

这两个英文词语结合在一起产生的化学作用，立刻就吊起了我的好奇心。

听了专辑里的第一首歌《This Day》，嘿，她的声音果然没让我失望，而且整张专辑听下来每首歌都保持了一贯的水准。

后来我才发现，原来她的来历不小，是 2010 年时由英格兰和爱尔兰联办的【Must Be The Music】音乐比赛的冠军人才喔！







來自英國的女歌手 Emma's Imagination，本名為 Emma Gillespie，是英國音樂選秀節目【Must Be The Music】第一季的冠軍，2011 年初發行首張專輯《Stand Still》，收錄了在比賽中所演唱的自創曲「Focus」及「This Day」，十分有潛力的新女聲。

【Must Be The Music】 was a British television musical talent competition contested by aspiring singers and musicians drawn from public auditions. The show was a music competition and reality show that was broadcast in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The show began airing in August on Sky1, and is also simulcast in HD. The first and only series was won by female singer from Dumfries, Emma's Imagination, whose real name is Emma Gillespie.

Unlike 【X-Factor】 which limits itself only to singers, 【Must Be The Music】 is open to all musicians who are allowed to play their own compositions. Fearne Cotton, who presented the show described the show as "It’s about acts who can sing, play… or do both!"

这是半决赛时 Emma 呈现的自创的曲子，只有一把吉它的背景音乐很干净，更突出了她的声线。
话说，我第一次听时全身的毛发都站了起来（俗称“起鸡皮疙瘩”），因为实在太好听了。

这首歌是奥斯卡得奖电影《Once》的主题曲，一首非常优美的歌，前前后后被很多歌手翻唱过，包括两季【American Idol】的冠军 Kris Allen 和 Lee DeWyze，由 Emma 和 Irwin 翻唱的这首歌跟前辈比起来也毫不逊色。
